What is ChexSystems?
ChexSystems is a consumer reporting agency that tracks people's banking history. Banks use the information to screen prospective customers. If you have a history of unpaid fees, overdrafts, or account closures you may have a negative record with ChexSystems, which could affect your ability to open deposit accounts in the future. Customers cannot see what information the bank see's about them on this report but can request a free copy from ChexSystems.
